Exploring Urban Layers of Traces, Colour, Materials, and People

Students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy of the University of Mostar - Valentina Jozinović, Martina Majić, Iva Palinić, Katarina Šantić and Jerko Artuković, accompanied by their mentor assistant Gabrijela Raič, participated in a student workshop at the Sapienza University in Rome as part of the Erasmus+ project APLE, from 17 to 21 February 2025.

On Monday 12 May 2025, these five students held a presentation about this workshop at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy. At the beginning of the presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Valerija Kopilaš, head of the FGAG team for the APLE project, introduced the students and the entire Erasmus+ project APLE. After that, these five students described in detail the activities and experiences at the workshop in Rome.

The first day was reserved for introductory presentations, introduction to the workshop and division into groups. The subject of the activity was two points: Campo de Fiori and the Theatre of Marcellus with the street connecting them. Students from individual universities were mixed within four formed groups with a specific topic for analysis: people, materials, traces and colors. Students and mentors, led by the host professor, toured the area of activity, after which each group began active work. The workshop ended with presentations by the groups that presented the research they had done, as well as their impressions from the field.
