On September 2, 2026, as part of the activities implemented within the ClimBeach project, members of the project team from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy at the University of Mostar, Prof.  Maja Prskalo, PhD, Tatjana Džeba, MSc, and Assistant Professor Dr. Anton Vrdoljak, met again in Neum after a two-month period. They were joined by representatives of Hydromarine d.o.o. from Split, Croatia, led by the company’s director, Marin Milin.

As part of the activities within the ClimBeach project, a measurement device for monitoring sea dynamics was successfully deployed today in Neum.

The installed device operates based on ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) technology and is designed to measure key marine parameters in moderately deep waters, with a particular focus on wind-generated waves and sea currents induced by tidal oscillations.

This is the 31st issue of e-ZBORNIK, Electronic Collection of Papers of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. This issue, like the previous ones, is published in Croatian and English and consists of six papers. This issue brings out scientific and professional papers dealing with various topics from civil engineering, architecture, geodesy, environmental protection, but also from the field of mathematics.

Within the framework of the transnational meeting in Satu Mare (Romania) organised as part of the project SpongeCity, participants attended a presentation of the EU-funded project Improving Coastal Areas Resilience to Climate Change Impacts and Setting up Guidelines for Sustainable Beach Stabilization and Management – ClimBeach.

On May 20, 2026, a meeting of the ClimBeach project Steering Committee was held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, University of Mostar.

A scientific hour on the topic FRP materials and novel measuring techniques in bridge engineering was held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy, University of Mostar, on Wednesday, 22 April 2026. The lecture was given by Dr. Eng. Bartosz Piątek, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Roads and Bridges, Rzeszow University of Technology.

A scientific hour on the topic Geotechnical and Environmental Characterization of Unbound Mixtures of Recycled Concrete Aggregate and Shredded Car Tires was held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy, University of Mostar, on Tuesday, 14 April 2026. The lecture was given by Professor Katarzyna Gabryś, Ph.D., from the Department of Geotechnics at the Institute of Civil Engineering, Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). 

The European projects 'SpongeCity' and 'ClimBeach,' in which the Faculty is a partner, were presented at the Training of Trainers – Enhanced Institutional Capacity workshop on March 12, 2026. Held in the Faculty’s Assembly Hall as part of the GeoConnect project, the session was delivered by a representative from the University of Twente.
