On 23 April 2021, the second-year students of the undergraduate university study of Geodesy and Geoinformatics of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Mostar, together with their teachers, made a field visit to HPP Mostar.
An introductory lecture on the methodology of geodetic monitoring of deformations on dams was given by professor Milan Rezo, Ph.D., while brief lectures about the general information of the dam and specific methods of measurement carried out every year during monitoring of the displacements and deformations of the HPP Mostar dam were given by Mr. Željko Primorac and Mr. Damir Zovko, employees of JP Elektroprivreda HZHB, the company whose system includes HPP Mostar.
After that, the students had the opportunity to see and visit the stabilized deformation monitoring points from which and to which observations are made, as well as the turbine hall complex of HPP Mostar. They also discussed the issue of construction of such a complex plant and the specific role of geodetic experts in design and construction.
