Lecture held by architects Pero Ćeškić and Boris Soldo + Presentation of 1st year student works

A lecture was held by architects Pero Ćeškić and Boris Soldo in the open lecture theatre at the university campus on Friday 24 June 2022 in the evening hours, and a public presentation of works of students of the 1st year of the Study of Architecture and Urban Planning was held before the lecture. The presentation was the final act of the courses Architectural Design 1 and 2. During the winter and summer semesters of the academic year 2021/22, the students worked on seven smaller design assignments, and the last one on which the students worked in pairs was presented. The topic of the assignment was to design a small stand, an auditorium for about 30 people, as a free-standing structure or as part of the topography, i.e. as a generic structure or as a site-specific intervention at a selected location.

The students presented their works with a projection of plans and spatial views, as well as models, before guest critics from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, University of Split - assist. prof. Jakša Kalajžić and assist. prof. Dinko Peračić and the auditorium where there was the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, University of Mostar, Maja Prskalo, Ph.D., Head of the Study of Architecture and Urban Planning, Valerija Kopilaš, Ph.D., course teachers assoc. prof. Petar Mišković, senior lecturer Marina Bertina and lecturer Iva Martinis, as well as other faculty teachers and staff, senior students and guests.

After the presentation, architects Pero Ćeškić and Boris Soldo held a lecture in which they presented a number of their own designs. Pero Ćeškić and Boris Soldo began their architectural collaboration in 2012 with the project of the Franciscan complex in Široki Brijeg. From 2016 to date, they operate through the architectural office Ceding d.o.o. Široki Brijeg. In the past 10 years, they have participated in a number architectural competitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, where they have realized a large part of their projects. They founded the Society of Architects of Široki Brijeg, they organize student workshops, participate in classes of the Study of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Mostar and of the Academy of Fine Arts in Široki Brijeg.
