The second year students of the Architecture and Urban Planning Study programme of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Mostar stayed for three days in Zagreb (11-13 January 2019) as part of education for the course Residential Buildings I. A three-day block of exercises was held at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, with an emphasis on exhibiting and presenting the students' past work. The subject of the work on the course Residential Buildings I is a family house that students individually designed at a specified location in Mostar. In addition to the exhibition, a presentation of all the works was organized with the presence of the course leaders (Prof. Ivana Ergić, Prof. Luka Korlaet, Prof. Leo Modrčin, Prof Branimir Rajčić, Prof. Lea Pelivan), as well as assistants (Ante Đerek and Boris Soldo) and visiting critics (Prof. Mladen Jošić, Prof. Ljubomir Miščević, Prof. Marina Šimunić Buršić, Ph.D., and Prof. Petar Mišković). Each student presented his/her design to the course leaders, visiting critics and other colleagues/students, and with comments and constructive critique of professors, received instructions and suggestions on how to improve his/her design. In addition to the exhibition and presentation, a lecture of Prof. Luka Korlaet on the topic Presentation of conceptual design was given and individual counselling of students with all course leaders was organized within the three-day block of teaching.
The final public exhibition of student works from the course Residential Buildings I (family house) will be held in Mostar, on a later specified date (late February / early March), about which you will be timely informed.
