CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR ENROLMENT IN POSTGRADUATE UNIVERSITY DOCTORAL STUDY AT THE FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING UNIVERSITY IN MOSTAR
Pursuant to provisions of the Statute of the University of Mostar, public call for applications for enrolment in postgraduate university doctoral study at the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar in the academic year 2018/19 is announced. The academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the area of technical sciences, scientific field of civil engineering, is acquired by completing the study.
Study title: Postgraduate Doctoral University Study of Civil Engineering
Study duration: six semesters (three years)
Number of ECTS credits: 180
Study language: The Postgraduate Doctoral University Study of Civil Engineering is conducted in Croatian and English depending on the choice of each applicant;
Enrolment requirements:
- birth certificate or certified copy (no older than 3 months);
- diplomas and diploma supplements (or certified copies) of completed undergraduate and graduate studies with at least 300 ECTS credits earned during the studies (Master of Science in Civil Engineering) with a minimum average grade of 3.50 calculated "by weight" including all courses in the previous two cycles;
- applicants who have acquired the qualifications according to the old study programmes (before the Bologna system was introduced), with the requirements defined by the old study programme, should submit diploma and transcript of records (or certified copies) of completed adequate university study of civil engineering (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering - VI1/1) and should also have a minimum average grade of 3.50 including all graduate study courses;
(Exceptionally, candidates who do not meet the requirement of an average grade can also enrol in the doctoral study if they proved themselves in the profession, which is determined by the Doctoral Study Council, and have recommendations from two professors in the field of civil engineering. Admission may also be granted to candidates who have completed graduate studies in related scientific fields or branches, at one of the technical faculties, subject to prior success in differential examinations due to programme differences. The contents of the differential examinations are established by the Doctoral Study Council for each individual application for enrolment.);
- candidates who have completed postgraduate scientific master's study under the old system (Master of Science) in the area of technical sciences, field of civil engineering, and also candidates who are Masters of Science in some other field in the area of technical sciences subject to having achieved at least 30 ECTS credits in the courses covered also by the postgraduate master's study in the field of civil engineering should enclose diploma and transcript of records (or certified copies) of completed postgraduate scientific master's study;
- a short biography and list of professional and scientific papers, as well as awards and acknowledgments, if any.
Academic degree acquired: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the area of technical sciences.
Tuition fee: 3,000.00 convertible marks per semester.
Deadline for submission of applications: Thirty (30) days from the date of publishing the call for applications.
