To deepen cooperation and exchange among universities along the Silk Belt and Road in the field of architecture and technology, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) initiated the establishment of the "Silk Road International Alliance of Architectural and Technological Universities" (SRIAATU) in October 2023, with the vision of "Building a Better Home for All". XAUAT is one of China's leading universities specializing in architecture, civil engineering, and environmental engineering. Currently, SRIAATU has 55 member institutions from 26 countries, including universities and enterprises, and has made an active contribution to global architecture and technological innovation and the development of sustainable human settlements. To fully utilize the role of the SRIAATU platform and further promote cooperation among member institutions in joint talent development, international research cooperation, and cultural exchange, XAUAT hosted the 2025 SRIAATU Conference and Forum from 13 to 16 May 2025 in Xi'an, China. The event was attended by representatives of the University of Mostar, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, Maja Prskalo, Ph.D., and assistant Petra Pažin.
With the topic "Co-building the Silk Road with Collaborative Innovation: A New Chapter in Green Architecture," the conference aimed to gather global wisdom and promote educational innovation and integrated development of industry, academia, research, and applications in the architecture, civil engineering, and technology sectors. The event included activities such as a Council meeting, the opening ceremony, a presidential forum, and a series of sub-forums. We hereby extend our heartfelt gratitude to our hosts for their warm welcome and hospitality.
